The Boating Gods

I resupplied the boat today got everything put away and am ready to go tomorrow morning. Dispite not receivinng my seloniod I have decided to go. But NO the boating gods have other plans for me. While storing stuff in the engine room there was salt water on the floor. I traced it back to the exhaust manifold on the generator. Yes the same part that lane and I replaced last year and it failed in the same place. So out it must come again. Delay again

Super Kendall

Well once again SUPER KENDALL came to the rescue. After trying to find somewhere to send my injector pump to have it repaired prices ranging from $600.00 to $900.00 I called Kendell for advice. With a hour he arranged for a marina slip were he works Marathon Marina and boat works. Carl the head diesel
mechanic is able to repair it on the boat with in 3-4 hours.
the total bill was $325.00 So start up the engine and back to my mooring ball at City marina. James and I get all tied up and I go to turn off the engine and it won't shut down. The dame solenoid is gone so have to shut down manually. I call Carl and he has to order a replacement delay time 3-4 days.
well I don't cry and more just laugh it off have a beer and enjoy the 80deg sunshine
so you want to be a live aboard

Cold in Florida

Well the last couple of day's have been cold with a strong nor-easterly blowing in from Canada. Its been in the low 60's during  the day and low 50's at night. So good thing I kept sleeping bags on board. The wind was 25K yesterday so I did not want to get into the dingy to cold and to rough. On good days a wet ass is no problem but on a cold one it gets very unconformable and after two years I still can't dingy without getting a wet ass. should warm up into the 70's tomorrow with lighter winds.
The poler bear swim was on new years day Temp. in the low 80's so everyone brough a ice cube to chill the water. They have a strange sense of humor down here.
REMEMBER
Rum its the duck tape of the Keys, It helps hold everything togeather.
So on this cold day I am searching for my duck tape so I can tape my shot glass to my hand haha.
