0700 hrs, left Westport after several weeks of waiting for the weather to break.
Its was light winds, raining and some fog .What esle can a boater want!!.
Raining was off and on during the day, winds as well, coming from the east
then fully around to the west and then NW.
Judith Point was a bit of a sea state, but we plugged on.
Things got better as we made our way to Clinton Hbr.
Hey did you know that there are terrific current actions, along the way, as an
example Mystic,we were down to 5 kts, at 2500 rpm, normally we would be doing 9+.
Anyway, all wells as we reached Clinton Hbr entrance, after passing the
break water. Ok poor planning, we arrive at dead low tide, and we carefully
make our way up the zig zag channel, sometime the sounder
was well below what we draw. We reach the hbr and never touch bottom.
and now looking for a spot to tie up to.
Choice tie up to these big post sticking out of the sea,
must be a substitute for mooring balls.Anyway wev tie up to Cedar Isalnd Marina
we wanted the town dock(free), but we got confused, so the cost
was $76, taxes in for 1 night, with no internet, got to pay extra..
OK now we have to anchor more often.
Thats it for now.
